Motivation…
Many times my motivation to be a student leader stems from my interactions with the people around campus. More specifically my motivation to be a better RA comes from residents. It’s always good to know that you really play a part and mean something in someone’s life. Although, I cannot say that is the view around the board from all residents, I can say that I’ve been able to leave an impact on some. For me, an impact is greater than no impact! Furthermore, I really appreciate the relationships that I have been able to build from this year dating back to last year’s residents. It’s a great feeling to know that for some, I am/was not JUST an RA but I am a friend and someone who they can confide in.
